Chickasaw Point is a lovely gated community with 9 miles of shoreline on Lake Hartwell in the foothills of the Smokey Mountains in Upstate South Carolina. Lake Hartwell has 962 miles of shoreline with numerous islands and coves making it one of the most picturesque lakes in the Southeast. It’s ideal for fishing, boating and water activities. And Chickasaw Point is the only gated, 18-hole golf course community on Lake Hartwell.

18-Hole Golf Course

The Chickasaw Point Golf Course is a beautiful, challenging 18-hole, par 72 course designed by Parker Gibson. The course has several elevation changes and provides a different golfing experience each time you play. The course is beautifully landscaped with each hole separated from the others. 

It is truly a unique, enjoyable course to play--time after time. The golf course is open to the public and the public is welcome.

 
 


Olympic Swimming Pool

In addition to a lovely beach area on Lake Hartwell, Chickasaw Point has an Olympic size swimming pool open from May through September. With showers and changing rooms, this is a favorite gathering spot in the summer time.

 
 


The Grill

The Grill is open Monday thru Saturday from 11:30am-3:30pm and the perfect location for lunch or a snack before or after a round of golf. Weekly specials plus a set menu provide lots of choices for diners. The Grill is open to the public and the public is welcome.

 
 

 
Boat Ramp, Marina and Storage

All Residents have access to the boat ramp and may purchase boat slips at the Marina for docking their boat. Chickasaw Point also provides dry dock storage for boats, RVs, campers and/or trailors.

 
 

 

Tennis & Pickleball Courts

Chickasaw Point has numerous enthusiastic tennis and pickleball players who play year 'round on two hard-surfaced courts. Organized events are scheduled during the year and draw large groups for formal competitions.

 
 

 

RV Campground

A wooded setting for RVs and campers is available to residents and their guests for short term stays. There are seven sites equipped with water and 30-and-50-amp electrical service.

 
 

 

Children's Play Area

Nestled in the trees, Papoose Park is a play area for the children. A basketball hoop, swings, slide, monkey bars and picnic tables make it a favorite place for families with smaller children or visiting grandchildren.

 
 

 

Clubhouse

The Clubhouse is where the Chickasaw community gathers for numerous special events throughout the year. More than a dozen special interest clubs ranging from cards to investments meet here plus there is a lending library in the Clubhouse for Chickasaw residents.

 
 

 

Chickasaw Point POA

Chickasaw Point is an established, financially sound development where property owners own and manage--with the help of excellent staff--everything having to do with Chickasaw Point including the golf course, roads and utilities. As a Firewise Community, the ISO rating for Chickasaw Point is excellent.

 
 

Dog Park

A new fenced dog park is the location of choice for dogs to meet, play and run free. With plenty of grass, open spaces and beautiful tree-shaded areas, it is ideal for Chickasaw Point dogs!

Chickasaw Point Volunteers

Chickasaw Point is known for the volunteer spirit of its residents. In Chickasaw Point, volunteers have saved the development millions of dollars over the years by providing those services that upgrade the quality of the amenities while giving residents the esprit de corps of working together for the good of all.

There is no requirement to volunteer, it just seems to come naturally to Chickasaw residents to give back in some form or another. As residents pick and choose their favorite activities or charities, it ends up covering most areas of need, both inside and outside of Chickasaw.
